Weekly Photo Challenge: Edge
Weekly Photo Challenge: Edge
“This week, share your own interpretation of “edge.” Take a photo from an actual edge, like a balcony, a window, or a seaside bluff.”
Sometimes we can all be on the edge, looking over the edge, at the water’s edge, or even edgy. So in the spirit of our dogs, I decided to share a dog’s perspective of edge.
“At the water’s edge, I see my distorted reflection showing me more than I thought possible. Deep in thought, as the waves roll over the rocks, I become mesmerized by the sound of the water lapping the shore. I extend my neck to taste the cool lake water quench my thirst. Suddenly, the sounds of laughter fill the air as I see my humans in the water. I want to join them. Tentatively, I touch the water with my paw. I decide not to. It’s better at the water’s edge where I can protect my people from what’s lurking on the shore.” Louie Stroobie, the Dog
