Marcia @ Menopausal Mother
Once my kids grew up, I was able to change and reinvent myself. I could finally work at being the writer that I always wanted to be. Change is good. If we stay stagnant, we never learn anything.
Lori
Marcia, I agree! I also like to learn something new.

We change everything all the time even if we don’t know it. Even our skin cells change. The fight to keep the status quo is exhausting. Change is scary but inevitable. I try to keep stable through meditation and yoga. But I also read crappy formulaic books. The operative word is TRY.
Lori
Anna,
I do agree that trying is the key to adapting to the changes that keep happening to all of us. I’m going to try yoga one of these days!
Faye
I love this! I have recently taken on two life changes I NEVER thought that I would (resigned from a 20+ year lucrative career to pursue my passions AND had a third child at my ripe old age). It literally took years to muster up the courage to leave my career and now I am so so so glad I did it and wish that I had done it years sooner. Change is so powerful and so GOOD for our growth. I wish I had realized this years ago.
Lori
Faye,
With age comes wisdom. Lol! At least, in my case, that’s what I have found.
Lori
I agree change is how we grow. To quote the great Muhammad Ali
“A man who views the world the same at fifty as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life.”
