Weekly Photo Challenge: Frame
Weekly Photo Challenge: Frame
“This week, I’d love for you to look at things a bit differently. Whether it’s through an actual picture frame, a few stalks of grass, or even the spokes of a bicycle tire, find an alternative frame to the world around you and share what you see.”
As one season starts to end and another begins, I find my frame of mind a little off balance. The usual structure of the season is ending. I feel a sense of forlornness for what is, but at the same time there is variety in the shifting of time. Long summer nights begin to shorten and now the mornings bring a big yellow school bus back on my street.
Looking out my office window frame, I notice a different slant in the way the light enters the room. There are bare patches of grass from the hot summer sun, yet the weeds continue to grow despite the heat.
As I attempt to frame the correct words to explain my feelings of melancholy, I peer through my lenses and dream of places I’ve been and of places I want to go. I see a picture frame that reminds me that these dreams can and do come true. But, where do I want to go next?
Making a decision can be tough, especially when there are so many choices. Take, for example, the picking out of frames for eyeglasses. Do I go big and bold or small and minimalistic? I’ve finally learned that neither is the wrong decision. As I enter this new season, I know I have a solid foundation and framework to build what I want with purpose and integrity.
I need to remember to not get framed by clowns, fear or doubt. Happiness and contentment are mine for the making.

Jennifer,
Thanks for reading! It was a fun post to do. It hit so many levels for me since I was picking out new frames and my daughter left for grad school again-so I had to re-frame my mind. Then, I saw the clown in the police car at a Farmers Market!
