“Does your dog like to be a fashion statement?” Waggleview with Olivia Mazzarella, a Mary Kay Independent Sales Director

Please read the Waggleview below to find out about this remarkable woman leader and her dog. Woof on!

Dog type and Name: Bella is a Labradoodle!

Q: Why did you choose this dog?

Bella is our family’s dog. She was born in Virginia and my parents were actually supposed to pick up a black Labradoodle, but when they arrived to pick her up, the breeder said that the one they were supposed to pick up was the runt and Bella was the only other dog left from the litter. So we were blessed with Bella!

Q: Do you talk to your dog? If so, what do you talk about?

Yes, I talk to Bella all the time. She gets a “good morning” every day and then I talk to her about anything throughout the day, since I work from home. My favorite part about talking with Bella is that she tilts her head when you ask her a question.

Q: If she could talk to you, what would she say?

If Bella could talk to me, she would probably say, “Thank you for pampering me all the time. I have so much fun with you and our family!”

Q: Does your dog like to be a fashion statement?

Bella always has a different bandana for every season, just like I like to have a fabulous wardrobe to go along with all the new seasonal Mary Kay colors!

Q: If your dog had a job or career, what would she be doing?

If Bella had a career, she would definitely be a comedian, because she loves making people laugh!

Q: What lesson in life has your dog taught you?

Bella has taught me that life is simple and to enjoy every moment!

Q: How does your dog inspire you?

My dog inspires me to laugh and have fun. Even at 12 years young, Bella still acts like a pup and has bursts of energy every single day!

Q: Where is your dog’s favorite place to go with you?

Bella’s favorite place to go is the spa and country club (the kennel)! If you say the word “spa” or “country club” she knows that she is going to get a bath and that she gets to hang out with her doggy friends!

Q: Who or what does your dog find the most interesting?

Bella loves to check out other animals- squirrels, skunks, rabbits, other dogs…

Q: What is the most annoying thing other dog owners do?

The most annoying thing that other dog owners do is leave their dogs outside tied up in the yard all day without any personal interaction.

Q: What does being a responsible dog owner mean to you?

Being a responsible dog owner means more than just supplying the basics for your dog… it means loving your dog as if she is part of the family and treating her with respect.

Q: Do you ever dress up your dog? If so, as what?

YES! Bella loves Halloween! When I was in college, my parents would give Bella a different Halloween costume every year and even create a video with her modeling her new costume!

Q: How has your dog changed your life?

My dog has changed my life because she brings me joy every day. If she is away at the spa and I come home without her being there, it feels like something is missing. I love when she greets me at the door with a wagging tail… and always is by my side.

Q: Does your dog have a philosophy of life?

I believe Bella’s philosophy of life is BE HAPPY, KEEP IT SIMPLE, and SMILE!

Q: I love my dog because she is beautiful, loving, loyal, and a ton of fun!

Q: Have you ever made dog treats for your dog? If so, please share your recipe.

I have not made any treats for my dog… but her favorite snack next to peanut butter is… popcorn! She can be outside playing in the yard, but when she hears the kernels pop, she comes running to see if any have dropped on the kitchen floor!

WAGGLEVIEWS: These interviews are focused on woman leaders in business, the community, or at home. My hope in doing this is to present remarkable and respected women in their community with their beloved pets. Who can resist reading about dogs and what these women do? This is a platform for women to display their talents; their own business, a new book, a deeply loved passion for a charity or their own job. It also shows their love for their dog!

Thank you Olivia for taking the time to participate in the Waggleview.
