Getting Unstuck
It’s pretty great being over 50 years old! Well, at least at this moment. I’m finally accepting of my new role as mom of an empty nest. I’m learning that I have more time for me and I only get interrupted by the dog. These are all good things! I’m filled with gratitude. So on this discovery to the emerging nest, I’m trying on a few new hats.
Last month, I gave up refined sugar just to see if it made a difference in how I felt. The answer was…It made me feel so much better, but more on that at another time. This month I am meditating by following Deepak Chopra and Oprah on 21 Days of Getting Unstuck: Creating a Limitless Life. You can learn more about the meditation experience challenge by clicking HERE.
I’m already a week into it and enjoying the quietness. I thought I would share and post the quote that goes along with the meditation of the day and a picture. To catch you up I’ll post my first picture here and then you can follow along on Instagram or Facebook. The pictures will just be a way of expressing my feelings for that day’s meditation, quote, and the moment of being in the Now. Let me know your thoughts too! I’d love for this to become a community where you let me know how you feel about the quote listed.
So here we go with Day 1 and the title:
“Getting Unstuck: Creating a Limitless Life. Find a path to your health and happiness-where all is within your reach.” Oprah & Deepak
Here’s to having some time and unlocking a limitless life!
Best,

Chris and I have done the Chora/Oprah meditations in the past. Will need to check this one out.

I’m enjoying this challenge. It seems to have come at the right time for me.

ha ha “for.” Perhaps I should have some coffee before I attempt to speak or type. 🙂
Lori
Lol! Thanks Rica!
Jessica @ Domesticated Wild Child
Sounds interesting. I’m at the opposite end of parenting with a 2 and 4 year old so it will be awhile before I get a quiet house to meditate in.
Lori
Jessica,
I remember those days clearly. Somedays getting a shower was considered a miracle. I think the best part about having kids is that they really make you practice being in the moment because they live that way beautifully.
Christine
Love this! So great to redefine your life.
Lori
Christine,
I’m really enjoying the challenge. It’s been motivating.
Bonnie
Great way to keep yourself grounded and conscious of the moment. I do a word or saying or mantra of the month. This month it’s “mindful”!
Lori
Bonnie,
That’s a great idea! After this challenge I think I might try that.
